Frequently Asked Questions

Saudi Labor Law requires employment contracts to be in writing and in Arabic. Key mandatory terms include job title, salary, working hours, annual leave, notice periods, and end-of-service benefit provisions. For expatriate employees, the contract must also address accommodation, transport, and repatriation. We draft bilingual contracts that fully comply with the law.

Nitaqat is Saudi Arabia's Saudization program that requires private sector companies to maintain a minimum percentage of Saudi national employees. The required percentage varies by company size and industry sector. Non-compliance affects a company's ability to issue work visas and renew licenses. We help employers structure their workforce and monitor compliance.

Under Saudi Labor Law, employees who complete at least two years of service are entitled to end-of-service (gratuity) payments. The calculation is: one third of a monthly salary for each of the first five years, and one full monthly salary for each year thereafter. We advise on correct calculation and dispute resolution when disagreements arise.
